Eastbound & Down

10:30 a.m- Hit the road heading East
12:30 p.m- Came across a tree i just couldn't let go unnoticed.
A Lonely Tree

A few hours later- My Garmin somehow detoured the route and added an extra 20 miles of single lane highway to the trip. At first, i was irritated, almost wanted to turn around back to the freeway.
A few moments after the detour- I saw this and had to take a photo.
I guess the detour was worth it because in a 2 minute span i came across all these neat signs.

This was the 2 lane HWY that was the detour.

Such a beautiful day for a road trip.

Later in the afternoon- Came into Utah

This is my point of view.
Editing photos, listening to music, took a small nap and navigated.

Right outside of Provo, Utah they have these ginormous windmills.
I HATE these things. They freak me out.

The Great Salt Lake
Just a small (small) portion of it
(view from the freeway)

Made the way up the canyon heading towards Moab.
About 50 miles outside of Price, Utah theres a small cemetery.
This metal made flag stood right in the middle.

As the evening went on, the road went through a small town by the names of "Helper".
Such an interested little mining town.
One of the two motels was OUT OF BUSINESS and the other IN ORDER motel looked so slummy.
Continued driving on to Price, Utah
Where the only place in town to rest costs you a hundred bones.
gee golly.

Tomorrow morning, waking up early and heading back into Helper.
Going to get a cup of joe and a decent breakfast.
Long drive ahead of us tomorrow.
"May we journey well"
