To live, we must move forward...

My name is Carrie. I have lived in one small radius of this world for my entire life. The small pin-point dot on the map would be called the City of Boise. Boise, Idaho. Don't get me wrong, it's a great city. A wonderful place to raise a family (even attend a decent football game)

(here comes the 'but')

But, for one to evolve themselves or create ones life you must experience. And that is what i will do. I will experience this life of mine, the path that i will not only just follow, but the path that i will create by my own being. As cliche as that sounds. It's true. I'm ready for a change. Change of scenery. Change of faces. Change to create something new. Who doesn't like the smell of change.

So, this is the beginning. The beginning of my new adventure. This Idaho born girl is packing bags and heading South. South to the good ol' state of Texas. HWY 35, Exit 235 into Austin, to be exact. What better place to experience LIFE than in the Great American City?! To venture into this new city, meet new people, enjoy great food and delicious beers, listen to the sounds of amazing music and indulge in the photographic arts of this city... ALL without a flake of snow on the ground all winter. How delightful is that. 

This is the new step. 

The new change in my life. 

And it couldn't have come at any better time than....

So why did i decide of all places..... Austin, Texas?

It's the GREAT AMERICAN CITY!

Austin enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year as well as 175 parks, 23 green belts, and 30 miles of hike and bike trails.

Austin is an innovative, trendy, exciting city with a young and creative population. 

You will find many outdoor and indoor music venues, South by Southwest festival, art festivals, plus a great nightlife that creates our casual and playful nature! This is living life “Austin Style.”

Austin was selected as the no. 1 Best Big City in "Best Places to Live" by Money magazine in 2006, and the "Greenest City in America" by MSN. Also, according to CNN Headline News and travel and leisure Austin ranks #2 on the list of cities with the best people referring to the personalities and attributes of the citizens. Austin was also voted America's #1 College Town by the Travel Channel. Austin was ranked the fifth-safest city in the USA recently as well.

Austin is third in a listing of 150 places to live in an upcoming book "How People Across America Are Transforming Their Lives by Finding the Where of Their Happiness" by the former publisher of Forbes magazine, Rich Karlgaard.

THIS is why AUSTIN is where i want to live.
